Hi, hard to say without having the game for testing. Master of Orion is common and often played with Magic dosbox. In situations like this is often problem in sound configuration. Yes, try disable sound in game configuration first and give it a try. Or run autodetection. Let machine at default value. I don’t have MoO by hand, but it should have setup.exe in game folder.
And at the end you can try pure installaion process. This should help at 99%:) Let me know
Hmm maybe you can try transfer the game to device again. Maybe during transfer became one or more files corrupted. I experienced this issue after removing cable from pc without pressing “remove device safety”.

“game profile” is this what is added to main menu collection if you press “+”. Do longpress on added game in collection => shows game profile configuration

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Sometimes I communicate with people who run various old programs with mDosbox. You are right dosbox was made for games (like was many times told on vogons), but there is still community what want run their old programs on mobile device. I personally start sometimes Turbo Pascal on my tablet. But most interesting program what one man started was HiWIRE II (or something like that). I think it was old CAD program for designing PCB (A printed circuit board). Really interesting. Then of course old database programs are still top;) Here may be trouble with file locking, but I’ll fix that in the future.
I checked in source codes how is loaded “Main program”. It’s not necessary modify expert settings, because the the file picker supports these extensions :
“.exe”, “.EXE”, “.com”, “.COM”, “.bat”, “.BAT”
Left stick and dpad works both like dpad, but you can bind different action to each of them. In addition dpad can be be connected to native 2axis gamepad.

There are still some videos what I must create and guide for voodoo mapper is one of them. Well, voodoo mapper (sorry for that strange name;) has 3 tabs.
On first tab you bind buttons like A,B,X,Y,L1,R1. First press button ‘+’ and then press button on your gamepad. This adds pressed button to list of bounded buttons. Hit added button and pick what action it should do.
on second tab is mapper for axis Like dpad, left or right joystick, L2, R2…
on third tab is tilt – probably more fun then usableDon’t forget hit “Save” button at the end;)
Above is standard mapper functionality. Last version adds possibility bind dpad (on second page) to native 2axis gamepad – this must be enabled at startup first.

I am sorry, I didn’t play System shock so far. Can you please provide more info where it crashes? Please did you tried it on PC dosbox version? Or maybe you can send crash report…

or create folder games with sub-folder dos;) I really was digging around LFN long tims, because full name is much user friendly then dos_ga~1. The patch exists, but it is not so easy. After reading various comments on Vogons I made decision to not include it to mDosbox. In addition this patch breaks some dosbox functionalities and was excluded from dosbox-x with message :
“sorry. LFN patch completely breaks file I/O in DOSBox. reverting.”

I start working on additional controls for Daggerfall. It’s update for MoP 3th type – mouse. You will be able set custom boundaries in which will mouse move. Hope this and previous updates will make Daggerfall perfectly playable on touchscreen:)
The directory is MagicBox and is created in main directory of internal storage or sdcard. Inside is folder “Games” for settings of payed version and “GamesLite” for settings of free version. Inside “Games” folder is folder data with plenty folders like “23434t34435htg” what you wrote. In global settings you need pick the “MagicBox” folder and restart magic dosbox. Can you zip this folder, upload it to dropbox and share it? I’ll check it’s consistence.

And to restore. Let me first explain background. Magic Dosbox introduced first version of backup system in last version. It’s not perfect and next version will get more improvements. Magic Dosbox creates “MagicBox” folder on local storage and saves all settings there. Backup takes this folder and creates backup file in zip format. Backuping process excludes some folder like “Temp” or similar.
Currently there is no import functionality in program, because backup contains core files what can’t be replaced when program runs. This requires more sophistical restore functionality and I will work on that in the future.
Now, just download Total Commander, or something with unzip ability and unzip backup file somewhere. Then start Magic Dosbox. If you extracted this file to original location then Magic Dosbox finds these settings automatically. If you extracted file to another location then go to “Global settings” and update “Data directory”. Confirm and restart program.
