Oh Yeah, forgot! If anothet version of dosbox is installed does system cleaner pose a threat to its settings, layouts, etc.?

magic dosbox wont emulate audio right beyond 95 it seems . Misses the roland mpu401 on 98 and garbles the sound horribly. Disabling it doesnt help reinstalling the driver doesnt either . Dosbox turbo emulates it just fine so its not impossible but i cant for the life of me figure out wtf to do to fix it on this build

MechWarrior 3 version 1.0 is working ! Cut scenes and intro is a little laggy but they are still watchable. Load time from menu trends to look like its hanging but then mission briefing launches and fine from there . Im have update patch but haven’t tried it yet . I have the expansion (pirates moon)that I’m going to rip to iso tonight after work and then onto IMG. I had no audio when applying no CD crack to MechWarrior 2 pentium edition (these assets don’t install evidently they are dependent upon the disc even under max install) so I haven’t tried to patch it (the game confirms actions with audio, its playable soundless but it would be hard and I don’t really have stability issues with any of my games. )

your chromebook has an arm cpu? because you have better options if x86. You could virtualize . Honestly never heard of an arm-based laptop so you might want to re-evaluate your options im pretty sure you might not be seeking the path of least resistance.

I use the img roland deschain made at xda. Its actually 98 Lite (no internet explorer hurray) works pretty nice in magicdosbox with these exceptions 1.Audio drivers is functional but kinda screwed up the img was made for dosbox turbo (works perfect in it but the controls config sucks so bad its unusable for my purposes) and its way stabler when using a third party app for control configs (im using sixaxis controller). Seems taking that burden off of magicdosbox is a total gamechanger (no pun intended) I still use magicdosbox for some widgets but the majority is handled via sixaxis (its a ps4 controller so sixaxis is necessary not sure on oh say an xbox one but sixaxis has keyboard emulation and i dont know how you set yours up but i find if at possible do a total keyboard layout because the joystick and mouse emulation in-game isnt optimum…always feels like one analog is more sensitive than its partner.

Honestly windows 95 is the way harder of the two working os in the 9x family to get up and running . 98 has a far supierior driver package and its automated unlike 95 . It was a way longer install but a much easier configure its a little slower than 95 i think but the software selection is much nicer . Daemon tools lite alone is so much better than virtual cd that its a must have. I

Idk ? The pc versions ive used are not limited to fat16 . Actually ive never specified a file system in disk geometry when booting windows this would imply the guest os determines its own filesystem unless you intervene . Later versions of 95 were fat32 …. try making a 4gb image

in reply to: Win 95 Install #5076

Limbo can install. Your issue is windows 95 install disks are not bootable . They require bootdisk or dos to access the media . I could not get the boot disk to work so i used msdos 6.22c. In limbo you would allocate a blank disk img for hd ms dos 6.22 as the a drive and your iso (i assume) in the cdrom . Boot into the a drive then manually boot into c, run setup (additionally it is helpful to include the cmd /is when running setup it skipsscan disk) it is rediculously hard to get all drivers to correctly install if using magic dosbox though , it is advisable to use dosbox daum for everything but the pci driver if you want to go the dosbox install route but its alot faster typically to do this stage in a virtual machine never thought to try limbo to do the drivers have to give that a go

in reply to: L2/R2 Not Mappable #5075

I take it you have used the controller on other games ? Do you directly sync an xbox one controller via system bluetooth or is there an app used to configure them ? I have a ps4 controller, it will sync via system bluetooth but it isnt mapable and its mapped wrong ….way wrong the only things correctly allocated were the hats (dpad). Wasnt registring as the wrong controller, 3rd party app was required to fix (sixaxis controller requires root . Root is necessary to bypass the systems bluetooth with the one i needed. Weird though xbox controllers uses the generic abxy set up by default the only oddity i saw on the xbox 360 controller was it included a value for dead centering on all axes (plural for axis?)that is not found on any other make .

Yes the mali is total garbage, but the processor scaling of the exynos processors is way better for emulating pc processors, and while i will whole heartedly agree the mali is sub par it is still capable of voodoo level rendering. Id proabaly rather have the exynos though im pretty sure id regret that for everything other than x86 emulation.

    in reply to: voodoo2 3dfx drivers !!! #4962

Was that unclear? Im sorry. Its just a matter of unzipping the file (glide2.ovl)into your root directory you put games in insert [pci]
    voodoo=auto
Under the section [dos] in confg . Then also in confg. in autoexec insert the cmd set glide=600. you will have to insert these yourself via expert commands .

in reply to: Searching for a msdos622.img #4949

Of course it had to be user error ….so evidently i forgot what i know about dos because i failed at step 1 lol. I didnt have the folder the image was in mounted as a seperate directory no it cant boot c if c is being used already. My bad thanks for your help . Works just like i wanted it too. Hey since you clearly have more win 9x experience i wonder if i might ask you somthing: Have you tried running the games installed on the drive with windows ? Is it faster ? Im gonna go with proabably not maybe slower the system runs faster as light as possible but i dont know if thats correct ? Seems right oh and should i be trying for voodoo emulation (the guide i followed was …i figured the opted togo with the dosbox install method)which reminds me is it possible to add the imgmake command to your build because if so that eliminates the need of a pc in the process of making a windows img. i used my pc of course and would opt to even if unneccessary , most likely way faster but idk your build runs exceptionally well on my devices (quad core nexus 7 and note 4 both have same hardware =snapdragon 805 soc with adreno 430 both are android 7.1.2 seems the difference is size and preloaded software lol makes software compatibility a non issue hehe)

Ooooh 110%? epic! Have to give that a try .

in reply to: Searching for a msdos622.img #4939

Omg again, doh! I need to format the image so it will boot as a hdd(using the cmd boot -l(x)) i can boot it as a floppy (boot imgname.img)but i dont acces to ther other physical drives from a (cant install anything to a) k might start pver i reread the dosbox wiki on the subject i feel most of it is applicable, maybe i did spmthing wrong in the img creation (admitably i skimmed the video)

in reply to: Searching for a msdos622.img #4938

i need to format the img so it will boot i dont beleive i can format from the img im trying to format , though i could be wrong . Would i just boot into msdos from windows ? Create a primary dos partition…..that seems like its wrong i dont know why i feel that way lol but i have backup of img so why not
