Nope, the Exynos is that fast out of the box. With default governor, it can go up to 750-800 realtics occasionally, because it may downclock during the benchmark (not enough load on the cpu ?). For stable, fast performance, I usually set performance governor. The cpu doesn’t overheat either, so it’s really great for Dosbox.
One of my first PC games. That’s how I played it back then, I only purchased my first Soundblaster months later, when Ultima VI was released. 🙂
He’s distributing Win98 lite, which I think is… fishy. Let’s say, Microsoft are probably aware of this, and have decided to let him live. You can bypass scandisk during install with the “setup /is” switch.

These values depend on the image size. Here are values that are working for me:
32MB: 512,63,16,520
256MB: 512,63,16,520
512MB: 512,63,32,520
1GB: 512,63,64,520
2GB: 512,63,64,1023Are you using a Galaxy S8? Magic Dosbox should support immersive mode, but the S8 with its wide screen is a bit picky, also in many other apps.

Anyway, one piece of advice: I’d suggest you set mixer rate and sblaster oplrate to 22050, or even 44100. There’s a noticeable drop in audio quality especially between 22050 and 16000, and it has zero impact on performance. Really, absolute zero. On the S7 edge Exynos, you can also go for 44100 without seeing a difference. The device is just too powerful to be struggling with a bit of audio emulation. 😉
It’s really good. A bit Might & Magic, a bit Dungeon Master, nice hand-painted graphics, and interesting quests. One of the rare mobile rpgs that actually have a certain depth. And there are several add-ons available by now. ?
Cool, very nice video. The similarities to The Quest are unmistakable. Got to finish my Eye of the Beholder layout some time. Problem is that it’s grown extremely complex and buggy, and I don’t feel like playing EoB, so my motivation is rather low. 😉

How cool is that? That’s great for playing such games in hand-held portrait mode. 🙂
(btw, do I hear a child in the background…? ?
Is it General Midi or MT32 music? Both can cause some sort of “rubberband” effect. It may help to switch to Soundblaster, if possible, because that one does have almost no impact on performance.
