Al exKeymasterGame resolution is usually a good starting point. You can adjust the values by opening the ingame menu, then go to Advanced settings -> manual correction. Make sure to check the “Enabled” checkbox, then start experimenting. For some games, you can also try the different “Correction type” options, and/or “Block mouse move”.
Al exKeymasterHey, welcome! ??
Finding the correct values can be a pita, it’s basically trial & error. Some DOS games even have such weird mouse implementation that it’s impossible to get it working correctly (Worms, for example).
You can take a look at this list here, to see if someone else has already found proper values.
Al exKeymasterAh, now I get it. I forgot, you’re using the GPD xd. Theoretically, it should work, as long as the keyboard input is recognized in general.
Al exKeymasterGlad it’s working now for you.
What exact issue is it you’re talking about? Do you want to map keyboard input to your bluetooth gamepad?
Al exKeymasterThank you very much. ?
Great idea you had there, feel free to post a link to your layout if you like. ?
Al exKeymasterMy bad, it was the recent sync that impaired emulation speed. Currently, svn and normal core should be about the same speed-wise.
Al exKeymasterActually, SVN is a little slower. That’s not a Magic Dosbox issue in particular, but some of the recent changes to the Dosbox caused this. Even on Windows/Linux, though it’s not really noticeable on desktop cpus.
For speedup, try using cycles=110%, or cycles=120% (that’s the limit, I think). And on weaker phones, set prebuffer=0. That helped on my old Note 4 (Snapdragon) at least, while it didn’t make a difference on my newer phones (S7 edge, S9+, both Exynos).
Very nice layout btw, I like the design of your keys. ?
Al exKeymasterThanks, I’ve updated the list.
Al exKeymasterHoly moly! Amazing work, thanks for sharing. ??

Al exKeymasterAny error message? The game works out of the box for me, without any tweaks. ?

Al exKeymasterJust a thought – are you using the free version? Because it only allows one profile. I can’t tell for sure, but that might be a possible reason why the list is empty after a batch import of multiple games.

Al exKeymasterFor in-depth technical stuff, it’s best to ask Tony (the Magic Dosbox dev). He checks the forum very frequently, so he should respond to your question soon.

Al exKeymasterI know things like this are more for fun, and you probably don’t care about the extra amount of time it it takes to code it, but wouldn’t it be quicker and easier to simply import the games one by one? I mean, even if it’s 100 games, after an automated import, you’ll still have to edit each game profile to set up cycle options, game cover icon, touch control screen layout, etc.
Al exKeymasterIf there’s nothing in the .mgc section, you’re probably out of luck. I started working on a profile a long time ago, but I gave up quickly, never being a big Elite fan myself.
Al exKeymasterHe’s Sir Fix-a-lot – if Tony can’t fix it, it’s broken beyond repair. ?
