Al exKeymasterMh, should be doable with the dpad widget. I’ll install the free version and check.
Edit: ah now, that’s not supported in the free version. I’ve tried with the paid version though. It sort of works, but the mouse navigation via dpad is limited in the way that it moves the nouse cursor to the screen edge, and then stops. So you can only turn around for maybe a quarter or half turn, then it stops.I’ll try to figure out something else. Maybe anyone else has an idea?
Al exKeymasterAdded it to the benchmark list, thank you!
Al exKeymasterNice one, thanks very much for sharing! ?
Al exKeymasterBest way to improve performance is to root the phone, and then set governor=performance. You can do this e.g. with Kernel Adiutor (free).
Al exKeymasterMost Snapdragons are very weak when it comes to emulation, and the entry level 400 series in particular. On a SD 410 device for example, I got only 4100 realtics in the Doom benchmark, which is exactly as “fast” as my very first Android phone, a Galaxy S1 with 1 GHz Exynos single core cpu.
You can run this benchmark, and share the result here, so we can tell which performance level your phone has:
Al exKeymasterHey man, that’s extremely useful. Thanks a lot! ?

Al exKeymasterThese are actually pretty cool suggestions. I’d second #1 and #3 in particular. ?
Al exKeymasterOnly Google Play, sorry. You should try to clear your Google Play Store app data, then reboot your phone.
Al exKeymasterMh, if your framerate is too low, the keypress might indeed get swallowed. But in this case, also a normal key widget, or input with an external keyboard should be inconsistent.
Care to share your Daggerfall profile here? I could test it on my phone, and see how it behaves.
Al exKeymasterSometimes the game can’t keep up with the speed of the combo action. Try to insert a pause of, say, 50ms between each combo action.
I had to do so e.g. in Diablo, to use mouse reset after the (i)nventory key.
Al exKeymasterVery interesting. I wonder what they did to that particular chipset design. ?
Al exKeymaster@kupao that’s a clear sign of overheating and throttling. It’s a Snapdragon thing, they don’t like cpu-heavy stuff.
Al exKeymasterNever mind, just ignore it. That user has been banned for various reasons.?
Al exKeymasterWelcome, and thanks for the info!
I was having a similar issue with another game, can’t remember which though. Anyway, it would take forever to load with cycles=max. So maybe using a fixed cycle setting, like cycles=30000, will help. You’ll have to figure out what the game needs to run smoothly, and what your phone can handle.
Al exKeymasterI haven’t tried myself, but I know other people have managed to play Portal with GLTools.
