Dune 2 is great:) You can use swipes for screen scrolling
adminKeymasterUh, I don’t know…I never tried it:(
adminKeymasterMy DOS RTS favorites are :
1. Dune 2 and Command and Conquer 1/Command and Conquer : Red Alert
2. KKND
3. Warcraft 2
4. Jurassic warIn this order:)
For turn based I prefer Spellcross
Then of course Settlers 2, but I don’t think that this is rts in truth meaning
adminKeymasterAh yes sorry, it’s in correct section:) I was somehow confused, because I was answering on more posts together:)
adminKeymasterI slightly modified your layout for my needs, here is Doom
I set virtual dpad to “2axis” type and I changed some buttons from keys to joystick buttons. I made top icons slightly smaller. I like it more this way:) Cool layout, thank you:)
Now if you start doom then you starts joystick calibration. Press fire button, then press top-left corner of virtual dpad and press fire button, then bottom-right corner and press fire button
adminKeymasterLol, this looks awesome 🙂 Thank you:)
* I’ll move this to “mgc file sharing” section in next few days
adminKeymasterfixed
adminKeymasterThank you,
Good idea, I’ll update name in next version
adminKeymasterI must add that Daggerfall is expensive, or something is not correct with this game.. or emulation?:). Event on my strong tablet are situation when this game is laggy. I have troubles mostly indoors when I turn around.
But Alex is right. For emulation I recommend Nvidia shield tablet(touchscreen) or nvidia shield TV (console). This device has inbuilt overclocking option. But I don’t need it – only by win95 emulation. This device is strong.
Then I own phone honor c5. Daggerfall runs almost fine. It gives me timedemo score 1800 realtics.
And you can try sound blaster 2.0 instead sound blaster 16. This adds more performance.
adminKeymasterHi,
no this is not stupid question. This is part what still waits for improvements, but other features were more important.
There are some restrictions. I think I wrote them in application help, but I am not sure. Custom picture must be of 192×192 pixels and lower. Picture of this size is accepted through user interface.
You can “cheat” it, but I don’t recommend it, because working with big images is very expensive. It’s bad. You can cheat it this way : in collection.xml find ID of your game. In “Data” folder find appropriate folder based on this ID. Inside create folder “Images”. Now each your custom image must start with “user_” prefix. For example “user_saw.png”. Copy image to “Images” folder. Now you will see this image in magic dosbox.
So you have two ways : resize images to 192×192 pixels or use “cheat”.
But I can add simple fix to next version and will be able load pictures of any size. I will decrease size of big images in the background automatically.
adminKeymasterHi,
I can’t now try x-wing, maybe later I can find time. But I will try compare it with other games like wing commander. Usually you have two ways.
1. You can control with keyboard
2. or with 2axis joystick with possible 4 buttonsProbably you look for second way. Do following :
1. In game profile enable “Native 2 axis support”.
2. Virtual dpad is available in donated version. Go to virtual dpad settings and switch type to “2axis”. There is option for adding virtual buttons what emulates joystick buttons.
3. In free version is not virtual joystick, but you can connect physical gamepad. In this case go to “Voodoo control” and setup it. You can bind physical gamepad buttons to emulated “Gamepad buttons”.adminKeymasterHi,
it depends on game. Daggerfall is one of latest MS-DOS games and needs more power. What is your device for?
adminKeymasterAllright. I’ll send you email.
adminKeymasterUnfortunately it’s not issue on any device. I use bluetooth ipega controller. It is disconnected when not used for some time. But Magic Dosbox stays like should. But I searched stack overflow I see you are not first who face this issue.
Seems really like an issue in thread what I posted. Best is if I can simulate it, but if it will be not possible then you must help me.
adminKeymasterThis sounds similarly to this post
This is hard and I need simulate it. Without it I can’t do nothing. I own this keyboard k400. It has usb bluetooth receiver. Then I own standard pc usb keyboard. Maybe I can connect it to tablet with otg cable. But how do you do sleep mode? It is somewhere in android settings? Or it sleeps automatically?
