PhilParticipant
Thanks very much. i’ll try all that shortly when I have some time to play.
The emulator gets better and better the more I learn about it and I am extolling its virtues to all my friends. Thanks again.

PhilParticipantHi
My Email address is in my Profile.
However, actual colour does not really matter so long as it contrasts with the background colour and is easily readable
PhilPhilParticipantThanks
However, Setup does not really reveal anything interesting.
I would have expected the L & R arrows, already on screen, to enable selection of the 5 Tracks when in the Track Screen. However, the arrows normally do nothing. I say ‘normally’ since on just one occasion the Track text at the bottom of the 1st Track Icon lit up and then the arrows did enable me to move to select other Tracks but unfortunately I can not repeat this. Strange !
I obviously do not have the full version, which restricts options. Certainly, both Silver and Gold Track Level options when selected say “Order”
Maybe there is no option to select Tracks in Bronze Level and one needs to achieve something in the game to move on to Track2
If so, then maybe I discovered a “cheat”, to select the track, which unfortunately I cannot repeat.
Maybe all will be revealed in time.
P.S. got Full version now and still no obvious way to select Tracks so guess they need to be earned by success in gamePhilParticipantSorry for lack of clarity – the fields into which you enter the game Path and the Command and Setup file names, These are also black on grey and not easily read.
PhilPhilParticipantA few things still puzzle me.
One is the Accelerator (ALT key) which I cannot find.
It works fine if I add one but I guess there must be one there which I am somehow missing.
Another is the key for selecting the Track – I cannot run that down.
PhilPhilParticipantThanks
The same applies also to the text in the GUI config boxes, which I had not noticed before, since I always tend to edt the config file directly.
As a suggestion, yellow text would be much more easily read and would still distinguished it from the white field descriptors.
PhilPhilParticipantHi
Quite an impressive game for the period

PhilParticipantHi
The MS-DOS style is fine for me.PhilParticipantHi Tony
Thanks for further reply.
As you say, neither CTRL+C nor CTRL+BREAK work in Windows DOSBox. I had not tried it before but just tried and you are right. It would have been nice to have a BAT Exit facility in Magic DOSBox but it is not essential so please get on with your more important things. I read your links but did not really understand them.
Looking forward to trying your next Ver with the system independent transparent keyboard.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Cheers
PhilPhilParticipantThanks for reply.
Apologies for typo in my original post – I meant to say CTRL rather than CTRC. I have now edited my post to correct that.
A “PAUSE” command in the BAT file correctly generates a Pause with an instruction to “Press any Key to continue”
On my normal keyboard ( on my Windows PC ) I can then do a- <CTRL> C
and it causes the BAT file to terminate i.e. not execute any following lines in the BAT file.
I would like to do the same with your emulator. However in the emulator, if I create a- <CTRL> C
key and use this after a PAUSE then it acts like any other key and the BAT file continues to the next line. If I press this key when a C:/ prompt is showing it generates a printable character. So it is not generating the same code as
- <CTRL> C
does on a normal keyboard in Windows.
So, is there any way to create a key to generate the code to terminate the BAT file – like I can do in Windows ?I hope that this is clearer now.
