Sounds awesome :), just played for a bit, opened a few doors, knocked down a few robots and security cameras, it’s not bad with a few virtual keys + virtual mouse/touch though I’ll try and do a bit of mapping for a better experience, thanks again! 🙂

OK nvm I found a weird way to fix it, I’ve not idea why if I mount the SSHOCK folder as a default path and then run the executables it doesn’t work, but if I go back by a folder and then type in CD SSHOCK and afterwards run the executable it works.. like what? xD anyway.. yeah.. is there an easier way to just make the profile so it loads the game automatically? xD although it doesn’t matter much, I’m fairly glad with the results, cheers again! 🙂

The problem also is that if I try to install the game every time just so I can play (which sounds stupid for obvious reasons) I can’t do it anyway since it tells me I can’t use the same path to install..

Well, as I imagined, if I do mount the SSHOCK folder in my profile settings it gives me an illegal command.. is this folder found elsewhere? When I installed the game it said it was in the c:\sshock path, but where is that? cause it’s not in the root of my phone, or, is it hidden? xD Sorry for the trouble but I guess I can only succeed one little step at a time..

Ok I feel like a noob now, I just needed to type in either cdshock or sshock without .exe or .bat at the end.. welp.. xD it works now thank goodness! And thank you as well :D, now before I ruin something lol, when I quit the game, I’ll have to modify my profile to start from the SSHOCK folder where the game is installed now right? Also assuming you only use touch controls what do you use for a better gaming experience? In my case I use the Gamepad from Fishstix (devs behind aFreeBox) along with the mouse, are you by chance able to map mouse buttons to the virtual ones? Or does this method sound good enough? Cheers 🙂

Fingers crossed, hope it works this time, I’ll try it with the iso first then if all fails resort to abandonware again. xD

Oh, my bad, I should’ve just selected all.. anyway I’ve got access now, should I do other steps or just try the game again? Thanks, appreciated. 🙂

I guess things just get weirder every time hehe, it says that my system allows only to read my sd card, and if I tap on “request access” so I can access all it sends me to the default android file manager saying “open from” and with the internal memory and sdcard as my options, what should I open though, I’ve no idea..

Well I’m running System Shock from my sdcard, though in the file manager it gives me another directory, or I should say it’s renamed in a different way, the path is storage/A5B4-17E5/ instead of just sdcard (I’ve no idea why it’s like this), but it works nonetheless, I’m not sure if this has got anything to do with the errors/sound/audio etc. I also prefer Magic DosBox over aFreeBox since the latter is laggier also, at least depending on what setting you use. I’d really like to get the game to work, hopefully. 🙂

Nope, the Enhanced Ed. tells me it’s a Windows NT windowed executable.. so I guess Idk.. the game plays smoothly, but it’s either no sound or no game at all, which, coming from a sucker for gaming music lol I find that quite unplayable, let me know if you have or if you find other fixes, thanks for the help in any case! 🙂

Found the SSHOCK folder in the end though it still gives me illegal command errors..sigh

A S7 Edge sounds like a good time for holidays hehe 🙂 btw I’ve tried installing it from Magic DosBox to c:\sshock and it said it installed successfully, however I’ve no idea where this folder is or if it’s a virtual one, since it mounted my directory to c:\sshock leaving me with no idea what files are in there, it said to run either the cdshock.exe or sshock.exe files but I’ve only gotten “Illegal command” errors. Ive tried running them instead from the CDROM folder from the Iso and again gotten fatal errors, error code 5001, execution error and it says “Cannot run directly from CD. Run executable from hard drive. Common problem solutions: – Increase files in config.sys to 30 or more. – Disable smartdrv write caching – Use a minimal config.sys and autoexec.bat” If I’m not doing something wrong with the Dos version I guess I’ll try the Enhanced Ed. in the end.

When you mention installing from the iso do you mean installing in Magic DosBox by typing the install.exe command or just copying the files after you’ve installed it on PC first? I’ll give it a try, thanks.

Does Magic DoxBox work by chance with the Enhanced Edition of the game? (guessing it doesn’t but not sure)
