KupaoParticipant
I’ll be sending an email by tomorrow (it’s night here)
KupaoParticipantI haven’t tried using cue sheets so far but the japanese page mentioned this with regards to their previous version (translated):
Changes from Ver. 2.37:
Supports playlist (m3u, cue) playback. On another note, I encountered some stability issues with Sega Rally Championship where it froze Windows in the Options -> Sound Menu, but the music still plays correctly in the background. But I can still get in and out of the game if I avoided the sound options (I’m just really looking for an ingame volume control anyway)
KupaoParticipantThe current version needs the files to be installed inside <internal or sdcard>\Android\data\bruenor.magicbox or otherwise you won’t be able to get MDB see your files.
You might want to send an email to the admin as he can give you a beta version of MDB which works around Google’s storage restriction.
edit:
Be careful with uninstallation. If ever you put your game files inside the Android folder of your device, make sure to move them elsewhere before uninstalling MDB (if you plan to). This is because uninstalling MDB will also delete the bruenor.magicbox folder which has your game files.KupaoParticipantThanks for the suggestion, this works. I’m still tweaking to get it to be more responsive but it should do for now.
KupaoParticipantHi, I didn’t realize the sound setup in DOS games, that made sense.
On an unrelated note, I’m now trying to setup a game called Silver for Windows 95. I was able to get it working but I can’t figure out how to translate it’s attack functions to MDB. The way special attacks work is that you’ll need to hold the left Control key, hold the left mouse button then move the mouse to a direction. Combo widget doesn’t seem to allow additional mouse settings other than left, right or toggle and the and the settings for mouse button (permanent, click, on hold) didn’t seem to help.
Any suggestions for this situation? Thanks.
KupaoParticipantThanks for considering it.
To be honest, I posted this trying to check if my message will post as it didn’t the first time.
Looking at the way Retroarch and DOSBOX Pure works with directories, it kind of make the games work like rom files with emulators (zipped games read on load and saves are outside the game folders). In the name of convenience.
Considering how MDB works (it’s easy to use as possible), it still requires prior DOS knowledge with folders and other nuances. If you can pull this off, I think it’s going to be impressive. Thanks!
KupaoParticipantHonor Play – Kirin 970 on Android 8.1 – 843 (831 with Game Acceleration enabled)
KupaoParticipantAll I see in your video is that it is Created with Vegas Pro 12 (nothing shows otherwise).
I understand what you are talking about though. My current workaround to thiis to aim your sights first then strafe or move while shooting. This is not an optimal solution but it lets me enjoy playing DOS FPS games with Magic DOSBox.
KupaoParticipantThe score and how the benchmark ran in itself. A72 cores are said to be more powerful than A53 cores. With that kind of power, you’d at least think that you may get a better score from them. Even the P8 Lite ran more consistently in my tests (K8 Note runs very fast at the start of the benchmark but tanked at the later areas)
Then again, the Snapdragon 821 score was worse, and that is flagship level CPU :-\
KupaoParticipantHi all, I just want to share benchmark results for my phones.
ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML – quad core Intel Atom Z3580 @ 2.3 Ghz – Android Marshmallow – Score – 1311 (tested in Performance Mode)
Huawei P8 Lite 2017 – octa core Kirin 655 @ 2.1 and 1.7 Ghz – Android Nougat 7.0 – Score – 1816
Lenovo K8 Note – deca core Mediatek Helio X23 @ 2.3, 1.8 and 1.4 Ghz – Android Nougat 7.1.1 – Score – 1876I figure that the benchmark does not use and A72 cores on the K8 Note?
