The game is all on the memory, not SD card. The duke3d im trying now is from my steam folder, the one that came with megaton edition or 20th edition, im not sure. It came with the classic folder as well. I did also try a .iso.

its bad straight away. its just not smooth. it feels like you are playing with a struggling computer, in some places is worse than other, and you get the random “loading” stuttering, like accesing ram or hdd or something.

This is strange. Can you please test in Level 1 from Episode 4? this one is specially shitty for me. I specially cant get past this place:

Btw something else I’ve noticed is that SB Pro 2.0 gives me really glitched music.

In any case, i get so many fps slowdowns playing its kind of pointless. Its like im playing on a 486 or something. In some plaecs is smooth, then it lags as if i was playing in a computer with low ram or trying to access the hdd or something.

Have you tried Delta Touch? i dont think its possible to me to explain until you try it. Once you see the difference I think you would agree that its better than the current setup in here.

Original Duke 3d I think it allowed to go forward/backward and strafe with the mouse. So what we would need is to have this on the left thumb and then regular aiming on the right thumb. I dont know how this would be done. Just try Delta Touch to get the idea. I think it works better with touchscreens that way.

BTW: Do I need to click on “expert” checkbox for the manual settings to apply? when I clicked there it doesnt load, it gives me an error.

BTW: The toggle run button stopped working… I was editing the alpha to make the buttons less visible and somehow i fcked something up and its not toggling anymore and it just runs.

BTW: When I press the key U it doesnt toggle mouse look.. wtf. Edit: I realized your tutorial says:

“In Mouse Aiming Mode set momentary button and enable “Invert Mouse Aiming up and down”

I think this is wrong and it should be toggle.

So you can’t make it work like beloko? somehow replicate “2 mouses” so we can have analog fordward/vackward and strafing with the left thumb and aiming with the right thumb? its kinda unplayable otherwise in a touchscreen imo.

No, because your setup doesnt work the way I want to for strafing and forward/backward. Your setup the stick is like a joystick, its binary. It’s eiter move/don’t move, I want it to be analog. Like 2 playstation sticks, and I dont know how to do that.

Have you played Doom with Delta Touch port? that is the idea.

Ive read the post and I still dont understand how can I make 8 act like a mouse for moving fordward/backward and strafing in an analog way instead of joystick

I can feel how this is old dos mouse support btw lol. its not smooth compared with beloko but what can one do

I realized i had the atomic edition on Steam under the “classic” folder, works without cd but still laggy. I cant play like this, i get slowdowns and it stutters. I get killed at the start of episode 3 because it lags once i jump off the roof. This sucks I wanted to play.

I also have the original CD with normal Duke 3d and DC + Caribean.. I will try later but its weird. And my favorite episode is episode 4… can you download the iso somewhere to test it yourself? i dont think trying it with my cd solve anything tbh.

I have added your settings on the expert mode and I dont see much of a change. By Game Tuner you mean the Game Launcher? i have the highest setting selected globally (prioritize performance)

Maybe it has to do with the fact that this version of Duke 3d is asking for my .iso? im playing with the iso loaded, otherwise it doesnt let me play as it ask for the cd… weird. I have another duke3d.exe on my computer that doesnt ask for a cd, or maybe its because its not playing in dos mode? im not sure. Its the Atomic Edition. Can you test episode 4 level 1? its specially slow there.

Also when I look at sprites like the fire animation, i can feel the lag. In episode 1 level 1, the fire sprite on the trash for instance.

My 800×600 performance is an slideshow compared to your video.
