From what i heard, next years flagship SoC will be 64bit only
Tested with the benchmark apk and have 570-580 realtics… running the doom -timedemo demo3 with magic dosbox main app i get around 430-440 realtics on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy SoC, would be good to have the benchmark apk 64bit ready
hi is it possible to create a benchmark apk for arm64-v8a, so modern SoCs that dropped armeabi-v7a support can run it on the prime core?
I would like to test on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy soon.
@admin maybe not porting dosbox-x to android on your own and use magic frontend, but help the guys making their own android build… and see how it would evolve? maybe some kind of cooperation could be happen

here are some cool features of DOSBox-X that is still really active in development.
Also since modern phones are powerfull, maybe a 3dfx voodoo emulation could be used in software? I would test that out if possible.

Although based on the DOSBox project, DOSBox-X is now a separate project because both have their own separate schedules and development priorities. For example, the main focus of DOSBox is for running DOS games whereas DOSBox-X goes way beyond this. At this time DOSBox-X already has a great number of features that do not exist in DOSBox. While the great majority of features in DOSBox-X are cross-platform, DOSBox-X does also have several notable platform-dependent features, such as support for automatic drive mounting, Direct3D output and starting programs to run on the host (-winrun) on the Windows platform. DOSBox-X officially supports both SDL 1.2 and SDL 2.0; both 32-bit and 64-bit builds are also supported.
Maybe you can make a button in app, that create a folder called “Magic Dosbox” in the “Downloads” location. Then copy or move the content, that needs to be backuped. So one have to press the button before uninstalling the app.
I had the galaxy Note 8 before (SM-N9500) with the Snapdragon 835 chipset and now (SM-N9860) with 865+, both were bought from china, because i knew it has an open bootloader and is easy to root, for the Note 8 it took some time till root was working and for Note 20 it is really easy now. Check the OEM Unlock in dev options, flash TWRP, format Data partition, flash Encryption disabler and flash Magisk, really easy. Using “Performance Tweaker” app to change governor to performance. Thanks for the update.
Tested with performance governor and have best result 409 and average is around 410 thats amazing

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra SM-N9860 Snapdragon 865+ stock, best score was 420 realtics, average is around 450.
btw if you add the benchmark to Samsung’s Game Launcher you can speed it up with the stock governor it wen from
interactive governor = ~870 –> ~810 with added to Game Launcher
performance governor = ~690 –> ~690 with added to Game Launcher
Ah GLTools i have read about it yesterday, but thought it was only usefull for GPU and not CPU. I am on stock kernel too right now but want to test a custom kernel out when it will be available because i need to set SELinux to permissive and test sixaxis controller app out, heard it can work when SELinux is set to permissive.

I have just checked with my Note 8 (N9500) and Android 8 i get better results, the old report was with Android 7.1.1
those are new results

Wow, what changes did you made? And What SoC version S9+ do you have? I could check on my wifes S9+ (Exynos)..
