Tagged: Street rod error file format
Hi,
I’m trying to play Street Rod SE and I’m unable to run this game. It crashes reporting “bad file format” and message comes from game itself, not emulated DOS or android.
I’ve tried various settings and get always same message, I’ve not tried custom advanced settings becuse I’m not sure what to change really.
Same exe file works fine under classic dosbox. It seems apart from SE version, original 1 and 2 are also crashing reporting same error.
Does anyone have any tips? Tried very low cycles count, various CPU types and cores.
Thanks!
Might be an issue with the obnoxious Google file access restrictions. Do you run the game from internal storage or from an SD card?
Thanks! I’m running it from SD card along plenty of other games, only these give me trouble.
I’ll install free version on another phone and try from internal memory, I’m too afraid to move my current library from SD in paid version.
Can you re-downlpad the game? Maybe some file is broken. I tried it now and it loads fine.
Now I feel stupid – that indeed solved my problem… Files on SD Card had few kb differences when compared to freshly obtained and even source I copied them from.
Small note – tried same broken files on internal memory using different device and they were broken too (as to be excepted).
Thank you for both comments and that was my fault entirely.
Hey, no problem. It’s always good if an issue can be sorted out so easily. Broken downloads shouldn’t be a thing we’d have to worry about anymore, it’s not my first bugfixing step either. 🙂
