The City of Lost Children
A game worth playing for its captivating sound and visual atmosphere. This helps overlook the somewhat dry gameplay. Played entirely with a keyboard (the game was also released on PlayStation 1 at the same time), using a controller would be more practical. However, here’s a small touch layout for this game.
It uses Pixel Trap and Script functions, so be sure to have your Magic DosBox app up to date. The layout is reacting depending the situation but remains very simple. I moved the game screen to the left to be able to put widgets on the right. Results may vary depending on your screen resolution.
Made with and for Huawei P30 Pro smartphone.
Main screen (the camera widget is changing colour when alt cameras are available)
Left part, from up to down:
Inventory Open & Close / Place the item in hand into the inventory
Pick-up an item (from environement or inventory) / Put down an item (when holding one)
Move forward (double tap to enable running)
Move bakcward (double tap to enable running)
Right part from up to down:
Change camera angle (when available)
Crouch
Toggle Run
Talk
Action (opening doors, using item in hand on something or someone) / Skip cinematics
Turn left
Turn right
You can use the small ‘x” sign on top right to open game’s options menu
—
When an item can be picked-up, icon becomes yellow
Currently running, with an item in hand (some icons slightly changed)
Inventory is opened
Enjoy!
