    A design for Syndicate, made for the Galaxy A16 (2340 x 1080, 19.5:9). It should theoretically work on any device, but for other ratios/resolutions you’ll need to adjust screen size and position so that the mission view area properly fits its window. Tested on both the original standalone version and Syndicate Plus (base game + expansion).

    This is a game of tiny sprites and tiny controls. I did my best to make it more playable on a phone.

    General gameplay mechanics:

    • Tap to move; double-tap to shoot. Double-tap and hold for continuous automatic fire.
    • Scroll camera with the joystick at bottom-right corner. Swiping in the mission view area also scrolls.
    • Tapping the right side of an agent box (health bar) selects that agent; left side (eye icon) also zooms camera to agent’s position.

    I’ve added a column of buttons to the left edge of the screen, shown below. From top to bottom:

    1) Group/ungroup agents
    2) “Panic mode” (max all meters)
    3) Cycle scanner size (small/large/off)
    4) Camera zoom (you can’t manually shoot while zoomed)
    5) Pause
    6) Quit mission (on double-tap)
    7) Drop inventory item
    8) Agent self-destruct (on double-tap)

    I also had to add some buttons to the Team Selection menu. The “X” button on an agent box enables/disables that box. To transfer items between agents, toggle on the “Move” button over the inventory box.

    DOSBox is configured for SBPro2 because SB16 causes audio popping. You shouldn’t have to mess with anything besides updating your game path.
