So I have a problem with save states here.
I can save and load during current run but when I close dosbox and then back to the game it says it can’t load state this time.

Also every time I run the game it ask me to type ultima7 to run it.

I am using Al ex’s profile, but I turned off Expert commands (otherwise game didn’t start), added some ram, changed music card and made few changes in his layout.

It’s Newest version of mdb.

Any suggestions?

Can you post a link to your profile? If you select ultima7.com under the Main Program tab, it should work.
Also, save states can only be loaded once the main program has launched (the one that is stored/referred to in the save state). Sometimes, it works right after you’ve launched a game, but in case of U7 you’ll have click “Journey onward” first, and wait until the regular save is loaded.

Ah, journey ownards thing worked for me.
Btw why use .com instead of .exe?

Because it says “type Ultima7.com to start the game” when I use U7.exe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Of course you can use my layout. It’s a bit outdated anyway. 🙂
