Hello..
I often play Heroes of Might and Magic 2 on my phone.. it runs good, very touch screen friendly and it’s an awesome experience in magic dosbox in general.. However I have a slight issue. I play the game with a BIN/CUE copy of my ancient CD-ROM disk.. Game runs perfectly and I even have the cd-audio tracks (which are better than the midi version). But the cd-audio volume is very strong and I cannot find a way to adjust it. It overpowers the digital effects. Game can control effects and MIDI music volume, but not the CD-Audio volume. In the classic dosbox I can use the dosbox audio mixer to turn the volume down, but this does not work in Magic Dosbox.. Any ideas on how this can be achieved in Magic Dosbox ?
Hi,
hm interesting question, i see it first time over all time time. Did you try internal command ? :
MIXER
Makes DOSBox display its current volume settings.
Here’s how you can change them:
mixer channel left:right [/NOSHOW] [/LISTMIDI]
channel
Can be one of the following: MASTER, DISNEY, SPKR, GUS, SB, FM [, CDAUDIO].
CDAUDIO is only available if a CD-ROM interface with volume control is
enabled (CD image, ioctl_dx).
left:right
The volume levels in percentages. If you put a D in front it will be
in decibel (Example: mixer gus d-10).
Yep.. tried to list mixer settings.. CDAUDIO was not listed there, even though cd image was mounted and accessible.. For sure cd audio was played.
