I thought I’d make an update on the Carmageddon issue. It appears a while back (refer to v99) a patch has been rolled out and I appreciate the response along with the fix. The complaint I only have is that I still have the vertical lines, and yes it’s on v101. The screenshots I have provided are what the issue looks like. And unfortunately, I tried tweaking the cputype, memsize, the cycles (called Performance on a profile), and even switching to v74 to SVN. I even went the extra mile to enable expert settings but of no help, not even changing its display from svga_s3 to vesa_nolfb or even svga_paradise. My potential theory to this problem there is an issue with the FPU of the game or perhaps ARM devices not running it as intended. But besides that is there a fix to this?

26. September 2024 at 21:27 #11204adminKeymasterThis is weird. This was fixed for v74 core. Svn core still waits for fix due save states. I just tested it and it works. I set nothing special in gui, just standard settings.

If yours doesn’t have vertical lines and I do it might be because of my phone, but again IDK. You could try to provide another patch for v74 only (as updating SVN may be problematic) for 32-bit phones like the A13, because the previous patch for versions greater than v99 may have not worked on my side. Here’s my device’s info BTW.

27. September 2024 at 12:20 #11212adminKeymasterI can check it more. Can you send me email?
Can you start carmagedon, then press back button and open advanced settings. Do you see arm8 lib or arm7 lib on bottom?
27. September 2024 at 15:39 #11213dosdudeParticipantSo I did do that (Back button during a game -> Advanced options) and it says ARM-v7 lib and version is 101. I know I set it to SVN but it has issues even on v74.

27. September 2024 at 22:41 #11215adminKeymasterThis is impossible, how can be an android device from 2022 32bit?? This is completely deprecated and magic dosbox will drop 32bit support in next version or so. Do you have official rom or some kind of custom?
