I want to play windows 95 games. They need Pentium 166Mhz for minimum spec.
Now, my win95(on magic dosbox) spec is Pentium 66Mhz…..
How can I use Pentium 166Mhz?? I use Galaxy Note 8.
The higher the number of cycles, the higher the processor clock speed. Increase the value of the cycles until the frequency increases.
Here is my cpu normal setting
[cpu]
core=dynamic
#valid cputypes (Ykhwong SVN):
# a)auto
# b)386
# c)486
# d)pentium
# e)386_prefetch
# f)pentium_mmx
cputype=pentium
cycles=max 120%
#cycles=fixed 80000
and I set cycles=max 500% … but the frequency isn’t change… still 66Mhz..
On my old device “Samsung Galaxy GT-9500 S4” the increase in cycles of 150,000 frequency showed ~ 150mhz, more than 150,000 cycles I did not get to expose. I’m applying a screenshot, sorry I have “Win95” in Russian.
I increased the cycles not through the experimental settings, when the “Win 95” booted up the emulator settings via the “General settings> Power” icon in the form of a bulb. I hope I put it right, all the same through “Google translate”.
See the processor frequency via “dxdiag”
I got it!! Thanks very much!
P.S but the cycle is getting higher, the game speed is getting slower T-T… I’m sorry for my fool English…
That’s to be expected. Once the cycle stting exceeds the maximum capability of your cpu, emulation will slow down. Before that happens, you’ll get sound issues. Some games can run at higher cycles, some less. You’ll have to try it out and see how much your phone can handle.
