Hi Bruenor and friends,
I make a fresh install of Windows 95 but i have a problem with magic dosbox. I can only boot on safe mode if i try to boot in normal mode a get a black screen after windows logo. The img file is working fine on dosbox pc.
These are my speqs:
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 (snapdragon 845)
Android 10 (maybe this is the problem?)
Magic Dosbox v1.0.80And this my config file
[dosbox] machine=svga_s3 memsize=64 #Amount of video memory in megabytes (0-8). # The maximum resolution and color depth the svga_s3 will be able to display # is determined by this value. # 0: 512k (800x600 at 256 colors) # 1: 1024x768 at 256 colors or 800x600 at 64k colors # 2: 1600x1200 at 256 colors or 1024x768 at 64k colors or 640x480 at 16M colors # 4: 1600x1200 at 64k colors or 1024x768 at 16M colors # 8: up to 1600x1200 at 16M colors vmemsize=4 #Amount of video memory in kilobytes, in addition to vmemsize #vmemsizekb=0 [render] frameskip=0 [cpu] core=dynamic #valid cputypes (Ykhwong SVN): # a)auto # b)386 # c)486 # d)pentium # e)386_prefetch # f)pentium_mmx cputype=pentium_slow cycles=max 105% #cycles=fixed 80000 [mixer] blocksize=1024 prebuffer=0 rate=16000 [midi] mpu401=none mididevice=none midiconfig= [speaker] pcspeaker=false pcrate=11025 tandy=off disney=false [sblaster] sbtype=sb16 sbmixer=false oplmode=opl2 oplemu=fast oplrate=16000 [dos] xms=true ems=true umb=true keyboardlayout=auto [autoexec] @Echo Off imgmount c /sdcard/msdos/win95.img -t hdd -fs fat -size 512,63,32,520 imgmount d /sdcard/msdos/hdd-2gb.img -t hdd -fs fat -size 512,63,64,1023 boot -l c

24. June 2020 at 15:55 #8023adminKeymasterHi again:)
If you are in safe mode then you must delete some stuff from device manager. I do it in my win95 guide on youtube.
around 4th minute.

26. June 2020 at 9:57 #8030Al exKeymasterTo rule out a device issue, does it work in Dosbox on your PC (Windows/Linux)?
And just a shot in the dark, but have you enabled SVN core in your Win95 profile?26. June 2020 at 14:55 #8033BorjaRRRParticipantYes its working in dosbox windows. I tried with svn and normal core.
Tried Roland Deschain win95 img and its boots but windows says there’s no video driver and when i try to install video driver says that cannot detect hardware.26. June 2020 at 18:20 #8035adminKeymasterSvn should be turned off. Hmm is img located on sdcard or internal storage?
26. June 2020 at 23:11 #8037BorjaRRRParticipantSolved reinstalling windows 95. it seems the cause was a buggy s3 video driver.
Thanks Bruenor and Alex 🙂27. June 2020 at 0:38 #8040Al exKeymasterGlad you could fix it. ? No need to thank me at least, I didn’t do anything. ?
