    Hi!

I have a rather big issue, I recently wanted to try out the multiplayer feature on Magic DOSBox which allows you to use two bluetooth controllers on a game that has CO-OP mode. Currently I am using two 8Bitdo Micro Bluetooth Gamepad controllers, one is green and the other one is blue, that I connected with my android Samsung phone. I also have an old Moga Pro Power.

As an example I tried both Dawn Raider and Ugh! and for both games whenever the players pressed the buttons on the controllers to move around or shoot the button presses either wouldn’t be recognized or would stick as if the button is being held down even though it’s not, even with having a different controller connected. Therefore essentially causing the game to be unplayable. It also works slightly better with a bluetooth keyboard but it works flawlessly with a wired keyboard plugged in.

Would be awesome to have this fixed but honestly this might a bluetooth limitation.

Thinking of buying a usb C male to dual usb A female cable adapter for my android phone to see if this would be a better approach for multiplayer on DOSBox.

Update: Even with the bluetooth controllers plugged in with a cable they still have these issues. I wonder if its a matter of controller to keyboard communication. Too many variables.

Sure! I just have the D-Pad binded.

    For player 1:
    D-Pad Up: Arrow Up
    D-Pad Right: Arrow Right
    D-Pad Down: Arrow Down
    D-Pad Left: Arrow Left

    For player 2:
    D-Pad Up: W
    D-Pad Right: S
    D-Pad Down: X
    D-Pad Left: A

Hm, I just tried it with two bluetooth ps4 controllers on svn core. It works. I tried holding same dpad buttons, change them here and there and it still works fine.

Because these keys are different, it is the same like playing on keyboard.

    What is your android version?
Does dpad hang if you play single player?
Do you have other phone by hand? To check where the problem lies – phone or gamepads..

Btw, I see that you are connected with usb-c to hdmi probably, in dex mode probably. Can you try disconnect it and try it without it?

… Hey actually nevermind, the controllers were the cause.

There is a button for choosing between modes S (Switch), D (Android), and K (Keyboard). When using the controllers on the mode set to S or D the issue appears, but on K it works perfectly.

Anyway I returned them, they were incredibly tiny.

    Your app is good (:

Ah ok, thank you for explanation, maybe it can help to someone else.

Btw I recommend playstation controllers. They work really well.
