Pretty much, was trying to setup a controller scheme for a game and realized it would be very useful/helpful if there was a button that when pressed simply hides the GUI without having to exit it out of it to perform setup. When I’m doing a controller configuration for an unusual game, I often have to exit out many times from voodoo control because it’s covering up all the control configs for the game underneath the interface. If there was an inbuilt button on the GUI to simply hide/unhide the interface, this would help tremendously! Just throwing this out there.
Hi,
I work on new mapper – to increase mapping range for same keys i need to implement layers, like the steam mapper has. But hide/unhide function will probably not be implemented. Implementation is complicated and I dont see big advantages.
Oh very cool! Would love to know about about the new mapper. Is it only for the touch controls or will you also be performing an update to Voodoo Control as well? I frequently create touchscreen mappings with things like the F1-F9 keys, 1-0 keys, etc. and I wish there was a quick method to utilize them. The app Winlator has a simple but effective button called the Range button where you can create a row of buttons instantly. So a row of touch buttons can be made extremely quick on the touchscreen and this works really well when mixed with an external controller. Not sure if MagicDOSBox has a similar button, but it would be helpful nontheless.
