Hi,
the issue I’m having is with the mouse buttons – to control the spaceship direction in the game, you have to hold down the RMB and move the mouse. To fire the weapons, you have to press the LMB while holding the RMB.The problem is that when clicking LMB with RMB held, it’s like RMB has been clicked & released. So even though I have RMB still held, I cannot direct my ship until I have released RMB and re-pressed it. This is a problem during combat in the game!
Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere in Magic DOSbox? The mouse works as it should with desktop DOSbox in the game.
Any help or pointers will be appreciated!

If the issue is not due to Magic DOSbox then sorry for the post and thanks for the reply.
28. January 2021 at 14:26 #8581adminKeymasterDo you see double cursor? Try wheel up or down on mouse (one direction enables full mouse support, other direction displays general settings, i dont remember now what is correct direction)
or place “special widget” on the screen and configure it to “hide cursor pointer”. Then toggle it with widget
28. January 2021 at 15:00 #8582AriochParticipantI can see the double mouse pointer when using MW Up (and hide it with MW Down) – my problem is that pressing the Left mouse button “cancels” the Right mouse button when I have the Right mouse button already held.
When I start the game up I use Mouse Wheel Down to just have the in-game cursor – everything works as it should in the game (holding RMB to move the ship) until pressing the Left Mouse – the combo of LMB + RMB fires the lasers as it should but then it’s like I don’t have the RMB held even though I do. In-game, it means my ship stops moving every time I fire the lasers – I have to release the RMB and press it again. Makes tracking targets and firing a bit frustrating 🙂
28. January 2021 at 17:07 #8583adminKeymasterHm, ok, i’ll do tests tomorrow and let you know. It sounds weird, I am at 99% sure that handling mouse is correct in source codes. I will test it. Can you send me email at magicbox@imejl.sk?
28. January 2021 at 17:19 #8584AriochParticipantSure thing, thanks for looking into it.
I’ve just done a further test – holding RMB + LMB together fires lasers and allows me to move the ship (expected and correct behaviour) – releasing LMB but keeping RMB held causes the in-game cursor to reappear (as if RMB was not pressed, so ship movement isn’t controlled) – pressing LMB again causes the ship to fire lasers and move again (so correctly behaving LMB + RMB together).
I’ll send you an email now.
