I installed fallout 1 the other day but I cannot get the sound to work. I didn’t use the disc version, I had the steam version and got the dos patch to get the dos “fallout.exe”. But now whenever I run it there is no sound. I tried installing Gravis Ultrasound but it stops and says that there is no card detected. What can I do?
Hi, don’t use gravis for fallout 1, because is slow (for fallout 2).
In Fallout installation folder should be setup.exe or install.exe file. This file setups sound card. You should use sound blaster 16 in magic dosbox game profile and in game setup
Thank you. I did not have the setup.exe or install.exe. instead I found a guide at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44730259&postcount=2 . It has a link to download config files that you can then put in your fallout directory.
