for some old games I need a mountable second drive. while the CD drive option is there, this is a read only option. would be great if I could tag a second folder as an A: or B: drive the same way we currently select a main hard drive C. As is I currently need to switch to expert mode.
Im really curious as wich games would need a writable second drive 😀 Mind telling me please? I can only think of some diskette game that has some kind of anticopy on the discs but… ¿?
playing through original Bards Tale series now. Transferring characters from BT1 to BT2 (and 2 to 3) requires mapping ‘character disk’ to A or B drive.
Old programmers really loved to do some weid quirks to their games :p
It would be so simple to load a file from the HD, or locate the original BT folder, or lots of other easy options…
what HD? dual floppy drive PC was all the rage. kept you from having to constantly swap or flip disks in those lame single floppy disk pcs
